Finding Your Perfect Hair Topper: A Review of Our 3 Best Sellers – From Melissa

Hi, I’m Melissa. I wear hair toppers, and I want to help you pick your perfect one.

When I bought my first human hair topper, I felt overwhelmed.
There were so many choices.

I had to think about:

  • What length do I want?
  • What color will match my hair?
  • How many clips do I need?
  • How much coverage do I need for my hair loss?

If you feel the same way, you’re not alone.
Let’s make it easier.

In this blog, I’ll show you three hair toppers I own from UniWigs.
Then you can decide what fits your needs best.

Why does hair topper size matter?

Hair topper size matters because it controls how much coverage you get.

For example, I have a lot of thinning on the top of my head.
I started losing hair around age 19.
And it never really stopped.

But that’s okay.
Hair toppers exist, and I truly love wearing them.

If you have more thinning, you may want a bigger base.
If you have mild thinning, you can go smaller.

What should you think about before buying your first hair topper?

Here are the big things to consider:

1) How much coverage do you need?

This is based on your thinning area.

2) What length feels most “you”?

Some people want long and glam.
Others want a simple bob.

3) Do you want to blend your hair through the top?

Some hair toppers allow that.
It can look very natural.

4) Do you need extra security?

Clips help.
And a halo wire can help even more.

Topper #1: What is the Savannah hair topper like?

The first hair topper I’m wearing is called Savannah.

It has a 9” x 9” base.
It also has a silk top.

That means the top looks like a real scalp.
It’s one of my favorite features.

I also like that I can blend my natural hair through the top.
It helps it look even more real.

This Savannah is 16 inches.
And the hair is Burmese hair.

So it will dry with a soft wave.
That works great for me because my natural hair is curly.

What about clips and security?

This hair topper has:

  • 4 clips (2 in front, 2 in back)
  • A halo wire for extra security
  • An extra small clip (optional)

I love the halo wire.
It makes the hair topper feel more secure on my head.

What color is it?

Mine is in Moose Brown.
It’s a really pretty brown shade.

Topper #2: Is the Breeze hair topper good for hot weather?

Yes. This hair topper is called Breeze, and it really lives up to the name.

The base size is 8.5” x 9” on the inside.

It has a closed lace edge.
That means the edge is clean and finished.
You don’t see fraying.

It also feels very airy.
I live in Texas, and it does not feel hot.

How do I put the Breeze hair topper on?

Here’s how I wear it:

  1. Hold it facing the front
  2. Pull my hair back
  3. Wrap the halo wire around my ears
  4. Make sure the clips are open
  5. Flip it onto my head
  6. Clip it down

With this one, I don’t need to blend hair through the top.
It can sit right on my head easily.

I also have a bigger forehead, so I can pull it lower if I want.

What length is This Breeze?

This one is 14 inches.

It looks soft and natural.
And it feels light.

Topper #3: What is the Upgrade Courtney hair topper?

The last one I’m showing is the Upgrade Courtney.

The base size is 7” x 8”.
This one is smaller than the others.

It is 12 inches.
It also has pre-cut layers, which is nice.

Inside the hair topper, there is a small lace area at the top.
It is not huge, but it’s enough for a natural look.

You can part it in different directions in that lace area.

Can you blend your hair with Upgrade Courtney?

Yes, you can.

It gives a more natural finish.

This hair topper is also great for updos.

What does the 12 look like?

It’s like a cute bob.
Simple and easy to wear.

Can you wear these hair toppers if you have short hair?

Yes, you can.

My natural hair is short.
But all three hair toppers blend well.

The Savannah has more hair and a larger base.
So it can even hide how short my real hair is.

So don’t worry if your hair is short.
You can still wear longer hair toppers.

Final thoughts: Which one is best for beginners?

If you want the easiest option, start with what matches your lifestyle.

  • l Want more coverage and length? Try Savannah

All three can work.
It just depends on your hair loss and your comfort.

It can feel like a lot at first.
